Portugal Already Won 23 Tourism Oscars

Portugal wins nine additional 2016 World Travel Awards

Portugal won 23 categories out of 91 nominations chosen by the World Travel Awards of 2016, which took place on September 4 in Sardinia, Italy. In 2015, Portugal had already won 14 and this year returned to overcome itself, indicating a growing reputation in tourism.
 
Among the winning categories TAP is considered as the best airline to fly to Africa and South America, Lisbon as the best city in Europe to do the cruise and Madeira as best destination islands. In addition to these distinctions Algarve was considered the best beach destination. These awards also highlighted several Portuguese hotels, especially in the regions of Lisbon and the Algarve.
