Level Eight Is Lisbon's Most Recent Rooftop

Level Eight Rooftop

Meet the new rooftop of Lisbon that will have sunsets with DJs every day

Lisbon has a new rooftop to call its own, given that the city has such amazing views. As the name implies, Level Eight is located on an eighth floor, more precisely at Rua Castilho next to Marquês de Pombal Square. This rooftop in Lisbon has 350 square meters, a capacity for 200 people and an enviable view to the Eduardo VII Park.

Level Eight is the new project of Machal El Dib, owner of the restaurant Fenícios(located on the floor above the new bar). This was a project that Machal El Dib had in mind for several years, and after negotiations with the city hall and an investment of 150.000 euros he has finally managed to materialize. The new rooftop in Lisbon opened doors on May 24th.

The new rooftop in Lisbon has a different entrance from that of restaurant, because as Machal El Dib explained to NiT they wanted them to be “two different spaces, but it will be impossible to be disconnected since on the rooftop we will serve some snacks from the Fenícios menu”. With prices starting at €4.50, you can try some Lebanese delicacies, such as the halloumi rolls, the fatayer (bread dough with spinach stuffing) or the kibbe (with beef and almonds).

In addition to the amazing view, the Level Eight will host Djs and sunsets every day. On the drinks menu you can find margaritas, mojitos, caipirinhas, beers and sangrias. And also beverages based on Disaronno liqueur, the Italian liqueur with bitter almond flavour which is the official patron of Level Eight. On the Level Eight menu there are 16 distinct cocktails, four of them based on amaretto. Two new signature cocktails with Lebanese ingredients are still being developed. Each drink costs between €10 and €12.

For now, Level Eight will be seasonal and it should close by the end of October. But there are many sunsets to enjoy until there. The next sunsets will be animated by Miguel Ribeiro, Rui Porto Nunes, Rui Pregal da Cunha, Cláudia Semedo and Dino Santiago. The Level Eight is open every day from 5pm to 2am, and the animation starts at 6pm.
